Vandring på Koster

Step into the timeless island world of West Sweden’s Koster Archipelago

Walking specialist Ramblers Worldwide has introduced a new tour for 2011 coupling the enduring tranquillity of Sweden’s Koster Islands  with the green open spaces and gardens of Gothenburg.

Får på Nordkoster

The eight-day walking holiday
is an absolute treat for lovers of enchanting natural beauty, wildlife and calm, friendly cities. Whether you're a regular walker looking to cover new ground or someone who's simply seeking a holiday destination to get away from it all in the great outdoors, the little-known corner of West Sweden will tick all your boxes.

The walking starts on the island of South Koster, within the heart of Sweden's first marine national park, where there are no cars and a series of tracks meander through woods and fields to tiny coves and harbours. You'll also enjoy a full day's guided nature walk on the little islands of Trossö, Kalvö and Lindö, with the chance to see some of the Koster Islands' seals, and stay in cabins a stone's throw from a small beach.
