We have a great deal cultural remains to visit. Not only churches, but also industrial memories or, what about the famous rock carvings from bronze age, about 3500 years old. Look for all sights in our community, translated into english.

Nature reservation

As if our nature wasn't beautiful enough, we also got 8 nature reservations, from Kölviken in the north to Öjemossen in the south. You will find information about them on our city map or on this (swedish) link.

Churches

The church in Vårvik, north of Bengtsfors was 2002 voted to be "Swedens most beautiful church". It really is marvellous, isn't it? There are a lot of more other churches in our community.

Exhibitions

With a long fine art tradition, Bengtsfors is offering a lot of different kinds of art to look at. Here you can find which exhibitions are going on. But you might even check on the artists directly, as we are a little private landscape.

Museum - House of Straw

Learn all about the hand craft of straw plaiting, an important export article in the 19th century, saving many households from starving. Get impressed about the still living tradition, expressing in modern straw items. Admission free.

In Bäckefors you can find the remains of an industrial epoque in Sweden: the iron industries. In the old manor house
