Experience Fjällbacka archipelago
The Fjällbacka archipelago boats leave from the town harbour (Centrumbryggan) by Ingrid Bergman square. Choose a vessel from motor cruisers, fishing boats, yachts and RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat). If you want a leisurely ‘cruise-type’ experience go for one of the first three. For a rush to the head and a bad hair day go for the RIB option.

Ingrid Bergman
Ingrid Bergman, the legendary Hollywood actress, was a frequent visitor to her beloved Fjällbacka from 1958 until 1982. The actress and her family spent many summers on the island of Dannholmen, west of Fjällbacka.

Sweden’s first Marine National Park, Kosterhavet, is centred around the car-free Koster Islands and is a wonderful place for cycling, walking, seal safaris and lobster safaris.
Tanum World Heritage area
Come to this UNESCO World Heritage site to see amazing rock art from 3,000 years ago. Visit Vitlycke Museum in the area to find out about the carvings and to book guided tours, arrange bicycle hire etc.
Kayaking
The Fjällbacka archipelago is perhaps one of the most sheltered areas of water on the west coast, with sea kayaking a great way to look for seal colonies around the nearby Weather islands.The pinkish-grey granite and gneiss rock form the islands - smooth thanks to the ice age.
