Old images from the period of the lodge have been restored using modern techniques and provide a whole new picture of what the lodge looked like in its day. In 1916 George Seaton began building the lodge, but after only seven years it was totally destroyed by fire. But for a few short years, life was lived magnificently at the lodge, in a way that differed markedly from the daily life of the average person in the region. The guide gives you an idea of what life at the lodge was like, with vivid descriptions of the lodge’s interiors, garden, the hunt and much more.
You can rent the guide at Mark Tourist Information Office in Kinna. Price: SEK 50 per day (24 hrs).
