The town of Mölndal is strategically located in the metropolitan area of Göteborg with the E6/E20 intersection and the metropolitan ring road/R40 in the municipality. The proximity to the Port of Göteborg, the largest port in Scandinavia, and the international Göteborg Landvetter Airport, the Swedish or Scandinavian hub for several air cargo operators, has made Mölndal the natural choice for several internationally oriented companies.

Travelling distances are short; within 20 minutes by car you can reach the Port of Göteborg, Göteborg Landvetter Airport, Göteborg City Airport (a smaller airport primarily for private, commuter and budget air traffic) and Göteborg Central, the main rail and bus terminal. The travelling time between Göteborg and Stockholm is approximately 50 minutes by air and approximately 3 hours by high-speed train.
