Mölndal has a large number of very good lakes. The range of species varies considerably. In some of the lakes fishing is free whilst others require a fishing licence. Some of the watercourses are managed through fish preservation area associations and a licence is required. In Södra Barnsjön, Heelsjön and Tulebosjön you can fish without a licence.
In other lakes fishing is only permitted for members of the fishing club. This applies to: Våmmedalstjärn, Nordtjärn, Rävekärrs Långevatten, Axlavad, Yxnavad, Abborrtjärn, Blåvätterna and Gövätterna.
Fishing cards
The Yellow Card as a fishing licence which covers a large number of the lakes and watercourses in the Gothenburg area. The variety of species in these waters is good and you can fish for everything from perch to salmon trout using a variety of fishing techniques.
With a Yellow Card each fisherman can have up to two rods. This annual licence can be used by the holder and also the holder's spouse, partner and children (up to the age of 20).

The Blue Card applies in Norra Långevattnet at Kallebäck where rainbow trout and salmon trout have been put out. There are also roach, bream, pike and perch.
