Torpa-Hofsnäs

Torpa-Hofsnäs is near Lake Yttre Åsunden in the Tranemo region and parts of the area form a nature reserve. A nature reserve and Natura 2000 area, this is a region with a unique flora. Here you will find hiking trails through ancient oak and other deciduous woodland, the habitat of rare and endangered insects and plants.

The area also boasts Torpa Stenhus, one of Sweden's best-preserved mediaeval buildings, and Hofsnäs Herrgård - two of the country houses featured in Birgit Sparre's novels "The Farms around the Lake".
