Ecopark Halle- Hunneberg

Come along on an exciting elk safari on the plateau of Halle- & Hunneberg, through West Sweden’s most attractive landscapes. On the plateau of Västra Götaland, you can experience magnificent views and grandiose nature. Internationally, the mountain is known for its elks and the Royal Hunt. The mountain is covered by a webbing of footpaths that lead you through the nature reserve, relics of ancient culture, and exquisite views.

Experience the mountains on a guided elk safari Mondays and Thursdays during 1 July-20 August, 18.30- to appr. 22.00 (19/8 and 23/8 departure time 5.30 pm and 5.45 pm). We look for elks and other wild animals, enjoy light refreshments in front of an open fire in a Lapp-cot, and visit the Royal Hunt Museum Elk Hill.

 

 

 

Guided elksafari 325 SEK per adult. Departure from Trollhättan´s railway station and Vänersborg´s railway station. Please book a seat in advance!

In our interactive exhibition you can get aquainted with the elk’s senses. You can also learn more about the mountains fascinating wildlife and exciting cultural history. Here you can purchase maps, fishing licenses and souvenirs or enjoy a meal.

Explore the one and only ecopark in western Sweden together with a certified nature guide. A nature hike through beautiful Ecopark Halle-Hunneberg will take you through magical forests, past spellbinding lakes, meadows and fantastic views.

Is´s also possible to do challenging hikes in the eco-park of Halle- and Hunneberg by your own.

 

 

Purchase the hiking map with 16 marked paths and the Pathfinder at the tourist agency or the Royal Hunt museum and start hiking.
