About an hour and a half north of Gothenburg in a stunning area of Dalsland wilderness lies Stenebynäs. Contemporary art in an ancient cultural landscape - Sculpture at Pilane on the island of Tjörn is a great experience for everyone, young and old alike. Pilane is one of the most beautifully situated historical sites in Sweden with some 90 judgment circles, raised stones and other stone circles dating from the Iron Age. The ancient remains are surrounded by a cultural landscape that traces back to the Stone Age. Sculpture at Pilane is an annual exhibition of contemporary sculpture by some of the world's leading artists. In Pilane the sheep graze freely as they have done for thousands of years and from the mountaintops you have a breathtaking view over the sea and the beautiful archipelago north of Gothenburg. Walk around, enjoy the scultures and have a picnic at the area.

Havets Hus.

Havets Hus

Havets Hus is a salt water aquarium where you can see around 100 different species from the Gullmar Fjord and the sea outside Lysekil. The aquarium offers lots of exciting experiences, Havets Hus has a total of 40 tanks. From the biggest tunnel aquarium, which contains 140,000 litres of salt water, to the smallest 70-litre tanks. You can walk through the tunnel aquarium without getting your feet wet, surrounded by water, among piked dogfish, cod and congers.
