Golf packages

There are more than 55 golf courses in Gothenburg and West Sweden, set in the most awe-inspiring locations, including by the coast, forests, lakes and castles. Many of the hotels offer special golf packages, including green fees, accommodation and excellent food. In between golf sessions, there are a lot of historical and cultural sites to experience.

Day 1.

Check-in at the Villa Sjötorp, which offers guests access to some of the best golf courses in the area. Morning activity: Play golf at Lyckorna Golfklubb, treating golfers to the most stunning seascape setting.
 
Lunch at Salt & Sill Klädesholmen, Tjörn, one of the finest seafood restaurants in West Sweden and offering more types of herring than any other restaurant in Sweden.
  
Afternoon excursion 1: Nordic Watercolour Museum, Tjörn, showcasing awe-inspiring classical and modern art.
 
Afternoon excursion 2: Pilane Sculture park, Tjörn, which has featured some eclectic exhibits, including a 30ft sculpture made of dinosaur bones and this year, showcases the work of famous American sculptor, Keith Edmier.

 

Dinner at Villa Sjötorp. Villa Sjötorp's well-renowned kitchen offers culinary specialities made from local produce. Everything they serve is prepared in their own kitchen, mainly with locally produced ingredients.


Läckö Castle Läckö Castle

Day 2.

Morning excursion: Visit the fairytale-like Läckö Castle, dating back to 1298 and set on the shores of Lake Vänern.
 
Lunch at Fataburen, Läckö Castle, uniquely-located in the castle's cellar-vaults, serving first-class local produce and the castle garden's very own herbs and vegetables.
 
Check-in at Bjertorp Manor, completed in 1914 and said to be the last stately home built in Art Noveau style.
 
Afternoon activity: Play golf at Vara -Bjertorp GK, boasting 18 holes, with a wonderful forest and castle setting.
 
Dinner at Bjertorp Manor: "At least once in life everybody should eat and drink to their heart's content," claimed Bjertorp Slott. Therefore, it would be wrong not to enjoy this exquisite restaurant!
