Firms of architects in Gothenburg

Stylt Trampoli

Despite the fact that Stylt Trampoli has been about for 20 years, they're still alone in what they do. Their philosophy is to involve architects, interior designers, artists and communicators, and to use story-telling techniques to produce unique concepts for projects, mainly for the visitor industry. The company was founded by the Norwegian Erik Nissen Johanssen, who since the 1980s is a resident of Gothenburg, which is also where you'll find Stylt's office. The company's success can be measured in its growing list of successful projects, and multiple awards, but most of all through the many people who appreciate the hotel interiors, bars, and restaurants they have designed. Their work include the restaurants Joe Farelli's and BON i Gothenburg.

Wingardhs

One of Sweden's biggest and most successful firms, with assignments from all over the world. The company is wholly owned by its founder, Gert Wingårdh, and like many others of his generation, he doesn't follow one particular track, to him each project is unique. His designs often involve unexpected and surprising solutions, without losing sight of the overall picture. Wingårdhs has worked on many projects in Gothenburg and the surrounding area, including Universeum, Chalmers Student Union, and the semi-buried golf club in Öijared.

Malmström Edström

Malmström Edström is a well-established firm, which early realised the importance of working with a sustainable form of architecture, long before clients were asking for this. Christer Malmström is both an architect and a civil engineer, and therefore interested in solutions where energy effectiveness and ecological materials are as important as the design of a room. Mainly designs homes in the Gothenburg area, for example on Norra Älvstranden, which has been a key development project for the city.
