Sculpture at Pilane 2013
Animals, nature and sculpture for all ages!
Animals, nature and sculpture - Sculpture at Pilane Tjörn is an experience for everyone, young and old alike. Pilane is one of Sweden's most beautiful cultural landscape with traces from the Stone Age. Here, the sheep graze freely as they have done for millennia. Here are the views mile range out to sea, from Carl's Fortress and Lighthouse Paternoster in the south to Måseskärs lighthouse in the north. And here is the entire summer fun, exciting, thought-provoking art by some of the world's leading artists.
Participating artists 2013, TBC. Some of the artists that have participated previously are Zhang Huan (China), Jaume Plensa (Spain), Tony Cragg (UK), Wilhelm Mundt (Germany), Keith Edmier (USA), Sofia Bäcklund and Claes Hake (Sweden).
With us you will also relax in our courtyard cafe with homemade specialties, visit our gallery of smaller artwork by the artists and look at our exhibition shop, where you can shop our beautiful Pilane Heritage sheepskin. Eric Langerts also shows its kid-friendly crocodile sculptures in the yard.
All in a vibrant rural setting with cows and sheep grazing around the farm and on the meadows in the surrounding nature reserve.
