    Dalonien - a ladonian colony

    Product image

The interest for Lars Vilks and his work has increast through the years, and his sculptures can be seen in many places in Sweden and Norway.

In May 2004 he started working, together with students, on the latest of Ladonian outposts, this time at Dalslands Museum & Art in Upperud. The name Dalonia (in Swedish Dalonien) is a wordgame on the name Ladonia and Dalsland. The material originates from an old barn from Dalsland.

Dalonia's independence was declared May 23 2004 when the Jump- and Artminister Fredrik Larsson did his famous jump. The new nation is hoping to find a interested government shortly, but is for the time being subordinate colony to Ladonia.
