On Billingen, 300 meters above sea level, is Billingens recreational area, Skaraborg's most complete range of sports and leisure. Here is a man frozen ice rink, heated outdoor pool, exercise trails, fishing lakes, cottages, camping, etc. The rich mushroom and blueberry woods crossed by paths and walking trails of various lengths. St. Lukas Church is famous for its altar windows with stunning views over the countryside. Strupen is a narrow mountain gorge 300 feet north of Billingehus with impressive diabaspelar and scree. The rock inscriptions made there name around the turn of the century.
Just north of Strupen is a place known as the Rhododendron Valley. The area is the remains of a landscaped garden created by the gardener Karl Magnusson in the early 1900s. Here are two landscaped ponds connected by a stream and several garden plants planted with rhododendrons which the most conspicuous.

From Skövde center, follow signs Billingehus. Large parking is when you get up on the hill and turn left at the roundabout.
To the Rhododendron Valley:
Park at the ski slope parking and then walk the path to the right. There are signs.
