Stenungsbaden Yacht Club is a welcoming place; certainly not as pompous or pretentious as its name might sound. Of course, this is a truly excellent spot for sailing aficionados and those who like the lifestyle of the American east coast. However, in saying that, we do also emphasise that Stenungsbaden is a relaxed, put-your-feet-up type of yacht club. Yachts people often come here, but so also do other visitors who seek nothing more than a fine lookout over the sea and, perhaps, to have their palettes tickled by saffron-spiced fish soup.
You will find your new retreat less than half an hour from Gothenburg and a stone’s throw from Hakefjorden. The sailing is most enjoyable during the summer with both competitions and weekend outings, but the surrounding Bohuslän countryside is beautiful all year round. Not to mention the food and nightlife!
First sea charts, then cheese tarts
Behind the hotel, the dense forest provides a magnificent backdrop. The pine trees, their tops waving gracefully in the breeze, cover most of Stenungsön island and stretch all the way to the feet of the Tjörnbron bridge. In front of the hotel, the Hake fjord glitters as the sleekest of the elegant sailing boats carve their foaming wakes.

Cruising Class are our comfortable standard rooms. Stay in relaxed Newport style in a spacious room of about 20 square metres.
Premium Cruising Class rooms with a sea view (superior) of about 20 square metres, furnished in American Newport style. Centrally located in the hotel.
Racing Class are our fast and convenient rooms. Stay comfortably and relaxedly on around 14 square meters, with a 140-cm-wide Grand Lit bed.
Royal Treat are Stenungsbaden Yacht Club’s elegant deluxe-rooms. You stay on a generous 30 square metres in the most exclusive part of the hotel.
Conferences at Stenungsbaden Yacht Club benefit from more than just modern well-equipped facilities.
Highly inspirational surroundings and a considerable range of activities add that little extra edge.
Ever since opening, we have concentrated on being an innovative meeting place for both large and
small companies. We can receive group events of up to 600 people, drive cars into the presentation
room and even accommodate a symphony orchestra should you so wish. In a nutshell, it is only the
outer walls and imaginations that set the limits.
For those who want to challenge themselves, or each other, or to build team spirit, or simply to
burn off energy, we have some forty activities to choose from. A few are purely physical; others test

There are several train and bus connections from Gothenburg every hour.
FROM THE SOUTH: Take the E6 towards Oslo. After Kode, follow the signs for Stenungsund Centrum, Tjörn, and Orust. Continue along road 160 until you see the hotel.
FROM THE NORTH: Follow the E6 towards Göteborg/Malmö. After Ljungskile, follow the signs for Stenungsund Centrum, Tjörn, Orust. Continue along road 160 until you see the hotel.
