Ramsvik is the best possible place to enjoy Bohuslän
In the outer archipelago, 140 kilometres north of Gothenburg on the Swedish westcoast, is where you'll find the small, friendly Ramsvik Stugby & Camping with more than 100 cottages and stationary caravans. Sourrounded by the sea, a sandy beach and sun-warmed cliffs, Ramsvik is the best possible place to enjoy the beatiful county of Bohuslän.
Sandy beach and swimming
The sandy beach awaits, no more than 100 metres from your cottage or caravan. It is shallow and child-friendly, and there are volleyball nets, a playground, pedaloes and canoes.
If you prefer sunbathing and swimming with only yourself for company, you'll have no trouble finding your own secluded spot among the many bays and sun-warmed rocks that line the Ramsvikslandet area.
For children
Ramsvik is a paradise for children, and there are always lots of children here. The sandy beach, the playground, the crab fishing jetty, the pedaloes and the kiosk are all within easy walking distance.
Ramsvik Nature Reserve - The Kingdom of the Cliffs
Ramsvik is a peninsula with an unbelievably beautiful nature reserve - Klippornas Rike (the Kingdom of the Cliffs). Here, you can wander through a wide, open rocky landscape, surrounded by the sea and high, clean air. The amazing views will open your senses and offer solace to the soul. The smooth granite was polished by the inland ice, and a walk here makes it easy to forget the stresses of everyday life.
Cottages, Stationary Caravans and Camping
Ramsvik has 140 cottages and stationary caravans, all within 100 metres of the sea. The camp site isn't very big; we have only a few touring caravan pitches and only three pitches for camper vans.
Restaurant
Ramsvik has a restaurant with scrumptious ice cream sundaes, tasty grilled dishes, and amazing sea views. The restaurant is fully licensed, and during high season there is live music several nights a week.
The archipelago
The archipelago of Ramsvik is amazingly beautiful, with lots of islands, rocks and islets. On many of the islands you can go ashore and have a picnic, sunbathe, swim or just explore your surroundings.
Pets
Dogs love Ramsvik. They like walking in the nature reserve, there is a beach where dogs can swim, and we have a special dog shower. Pets are allowed in many of our cottages. Tell us that you bring a pet and we'll make sure you get the right cottage.
Boat Rental
One of the best experiences you can have at Ramsvik is a trip around the archipelago - it's amazingly beautiful! At Ramsvik you can hire a motorboat with a small, easy-to-use outboard engine.
Fishing
There is plenty of fish in the waters by Ramsvik! Fishing with a "bohusmeta" is easy and fun for all the family.
Outdoor Activities
The nature reserve and the nearby islands offer fantastic opportunities to enjoy recreational pursuits like kayaking, diving, walking, nature photography, bird watching and climbing.
