Rainbow trout and brown trout in Svartedalen fishing area

    Product image

The central part of the popular but remote Svartedalen area, about 15 km north of Kungälv, is well known for its beautiful scenery, vast forests, spectacular ravines, high viewpoints, rich flora and fauna, and many attractive lakes.

Since 1998 angling in the area has been managed by Sportfiskarna Väst. The nine lakes covered by the permit are Korsvattnet, Äggedalssjön, Klarvattnet (handicapped-friendly), Mörtevatten, Stora Nöjevatten, Lindesjön, Översjön, Timmervatten and Övre Långevatten. Most of the lakes are regularly restocked with rainbow trout, but there are also brown trout, pike and perch. Between April and September fishing is permitted from 5am to 1am. At other times of year fishing is permitted between 6am and 9pm. The permit allows fishing for three salmonoid species.
