Charming and genuine setting
The school building, from 1927, has been refurbished to provide a suitable venue for conferences and guest accommodation. We offer a genuine setting, where you can relax and socialise. The charming old school building offers comfortable bedrooms, pleasant communal areas, a library with a tiled stove and a dining room in a beautiful, winterized conservatory. There are also two conference room, one of which is located on the second floor, in the carefully restored former PE-hall.
Rent the entire school for self-catering
You can also rent the whole of the school building with self-catering for your own social functions. We offer 11 beds, divided between 6 rooms. Perfect for a get-together with family or friends, wedding accommodation, or a holiday for the larger family or group of friends.
Comfortable and easy to reach
Resö is situated in the beautiful archipelago of northern Bohuslän, between Gothenburg and Oslo. It is easy to reach by car, bus or boat. The island is located about 10 kilometres from the E6 motorway and is connected to the mainland by a bridge.
Resö offers a living coastal community, with everything from beaches and cliffs to meadows, light, leafy groves and windswept pine forests.
Resö is also the southern entrance to Sweden's only marine national park, Kosterhavet.

We work together with other local businesses to offer you a great range of activities on and around Resö – both on land, on water and beneath the surface....! Guests who want to explore Resö and its surroundings can hire a bike or a small boat with an outboard engine.

Please note! Even if the online booking system says we're fully booked, we may still have available rooms or be able to offer other types of accommodation. We work with a number of families who rent out rooms and apartments nearby. Please contact us on: +46 (0) 525 259 00.
Stay in spacious rooms with views of the garden. A hand basin is available in the room, toilets and showers in the corridor. There is also a large sauna. Bedlinen, hand towel and bath towel are included in the price, as is our lovely breakfast buffet.
One double room has its own bathroom and a balcony.
Open all year round
If you book a package or a conference, you will enjoy your meals at Restaurant Panget in Resö Harbour. Panget is classed as one of the best restaurants in Bohuslän in the White Restaurant Guide. Breakfast and lunch are served in the school house, but most dinners are served in the pleasant dining room at Restaurant Panget, with views of Kosterhavet National Park.

The island of Resö is in the north of Bohuslän, about 10 kilometres north of Tanum and 20 kilometres south of Strömstad, and is connected to the mainland by a bridge.
By car: Turn off the E6 by sign for Resö and follow this road across the neighbouring island of Galtö, until you have travelled about 0.5 km onto Resö itself. You will then see Resö Gamla Skola (Old School) on your right, just after an S-bend. Alternatively, travel by bus, see www.vasttrafik.se for times and prices. There is a bus stop right outside the school entrance. Resö also has a nice guest harbour for anyone arriving by boat.
