Cycling 4 days alongside the Göta Canal 146 km

Day 1 (30 km)

You start in Sjötorp where you pick up your bike. Here you also get a good packed lunch to take with you. You travel just along the canal every day. 16 locks and several bridges are crossed on the way to Wassbacken where dinner and overnight stay in a cabin is waiting.

Day 2 (46km)

After breakfast the journey continues for a few kilometers along the canal. Soon you will come to Tåtorp and lake Viken, which is the highest point on the canal. Here you turn off from the canal and cycle on the south side of lake Viken until Karlsborg. Enjoy the lanscape and the stunnin views. The next night will be at the hostel in karlsborg and dinner at nearby restaurant.

Day 3 (33 km)

Today's bike ride will take you north of lake Viken until Halna where dinner and accommodation awaits. On your way there are many suitable places to rest on and where you can eat your packed lunch.

Tip: Before you leave Karlsborg do not miss to visit the Karlsborg Fortress. Buy the tickets the day before. (not included in package).

Day4 (37 km)

Breakfast in the garden and then the last day will take you back to Sjötorp, all day along the canal. In Sjötorp you return the bikes and end the tour with a god lunch served at restarant Kajutan.
