The Viskan and Surtan valleys offer cycle trips through a slightly more open, flatter landscape. You cycle on minor asphalt roads in a varying agricultural landscape. Along the route, you pass the Öresten viewpoint, which was previously an important defensive stronghold when the border with Denmark passed through the area. You also pass the beautiful Assberg ravines, where the inland ice has left its mark, as well as several wonderful bathing spots. The trail is not signposted, but you can obtain or order a detailed map and route description at Mark Tourist Information Office.
