Norway Lobster Facts

Norway Lobsters (Nephrops norvegicus) can grow up to 10 inches long. They live on soft sea bottoms and like to burrow holes and tunnels in the mud. Those caught under 5 inches should be released back to Sea. Norway lobsters captured in a trap are said to be of higher quality than those caught in a trawl, because in the former case the animals are handled one at a time. Moreover, the largest ones most often come out of traps.
