Art exhibitions from all over the world

Come to the Nordic Watercolour Museum to see exhibitions from all around the world, listen to interesting talks, enjoy a concert and dine well.

Where art, nature and people meet

The Nordic Watercolour Museum has since its inauguration in 2000 explored watercolour painting, contemporary and historically. An arena for art based on water, pigment and paper through exhibitions, research, art education and by promoting the contemporary Nordic art scene - both locally and internationally.

Amazing art

A guided tour is a good idea to learn more about the exhibitions, but can may also have a look by yourself. If you want you can try painting a while yourself in the open workshop. The museum offers a range of courses from short “tasters” to three-day courses lead by an artist.

There is a carefully selected range of designer items, souvenirs, watercolour accessories, art books, posters and exhibition catalogues in the museum shop. The museum also has its own collection of glass here.

Dine well close to the water

Eat and drink well all year round at Vatten Restaurang & Café - the sea view is tremendous. Seafood is obviously served here, but there are other options for those who prefer meat or are vegetarian. Whichever dish you choose, it will be a memorable experience in a wonderful setting.
