Throughout the years, this lock keeper´s cottage has been home to generations of lock keepers. It is a charming, red wooden house and the two floors are filled with a nice atmosphere.

There is plenty of space with three bedrooms with two beds in each room and a sofa bed for two people. The living room has a large dining table for eight people and a magnificent tiled stove. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and washing machine.
Patio and a view
The patio comes with outdoor furniture, barbecue and fantastic views of Lake Östebosjön. On the other side of the lock you will find the boat with oars and engine. As a cottage guest at the Dalslands canal, free locking is included in the entire canal system with the cottage boat during the summer when the locks are open.

Fishing
If you want to fish, from boat or land, you always need to buy a fishing license. Snäcke is located by two fishing areas. The boat is in Lake Östebosjön and you can lock through to Lake Ånimmen.
Ånimmen FVO - Deep and clear Ånimmen is an elongated lake surrounded by mountains with a large variety of fish. You can buy the fishing license online at ifiske.se
