The Dalslands canal cottages is always located by the water and Storstugan in Krokfors has a unique location by the shore with a view of the lake Östra Silen.
The boat just a few meters away and the hot tub are right outside the door. Here is calm, beautiful and out of reach of digital influence. A few hundred meters away you will find the lock station with a guest wifi if you want to check on the outside world from time to time.
If you enjoy the nature and want to explore new waterways to fish or discover, this is a dream home. The house has two bedrooms on the ground floor, one with a double bed and one with a 120 cm wide bed. In the open loft upstairs is a double bed and in the living room there is a sofa bed for two people. There is a microwave.
The house was rebuilt in 2021 and created for cozy socializing with an open floor plan for the kitchen and living room. From the living room, the patio doors open onto the wooden terrace with dining area and beautiful views of the lake.
The rent includes a motor boat and free passage through the lock in the canal system during the summer when the locks are open.

Directions: Drive towards Krokfors from road 172 near Kråkviken. Before the bridge over the canal, a gravel road goes down to the lockstation on the left. Go over the small bridge over the lock and turn right. The cottage is located at the end of the road.
Fishing
If you want to fish, from boat or from land, you always need to buy a fishing license. The cottage in Krokfors is located by lake Östra Silen. On the other side of the lock in Krokfors you will find lake Västra Silen.
Östra Silen FVO - In Östra Silen there is the opportunity for fine fishing. Trout, salmon, as well as coarse pike and perch. You can buy a fishing license for Östra Silen online at ifiske.se
