3 Dog-Friendly Places You Can't Miss!

Hunderbarasverige is an Instagram account where Marcus, Johan, and playful Golden Retriever Inez share tips on dog-friendly places and four-legged adventures. Here are our top 3 recommendations!

Fröken Trulls, Ellös
A dog-friendly café combined with an antique shop. The further you go into the café, the more cozy rooms with sofa groups you'll discover. All the interior decorations are for sale.

Hotel Strana, Hälleviksstrand
At Hotel Strana, dogs are welcome everywhere - in the lobby, restaurant, during breakfast, and, of course, in the rooms. The location right by the sea is magical. Don't miss the nearby Pizzeria Bassotto, which is also dog-friendly.

Skulptur i Pilane, Tjörn
Put on the leash and explore the fascinating sculpture park amidst cliffs and meadows. You can stroll here for hours. We promise you'll have a hard time finding a more spectacular dog walk.

2 dog-friendly trails for you and your best friend

Therese Fired is the nature enthusiast who shares everyday hiking tips on Instagram and on her blog www.hemomkringvandring.se with around 580 great suggestions. Here are her top two hikes:

Gårdsjön runt Svartedalen, Stenungsund
The trail is 4.5 km but quite hilly. Here, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the lake from all angles, with bays and promontories for breaks. Your dog will love walking in the old forest and cooling off in the lake.

Säbyleden Part of Kuststigen, Tjörn
The trail is approximately 6 km and easy to hike. It meanders along the sea and through pastures with gates. Remember to bring water for your dog since there's only saltwater available. Don't miss the final stretch to Säby Island, where the old stone cottage is located.
