During the summer there is a town festival which attracts many Swedish performers. A number of plays are presented and you can also join a guided tour of Gunnebo House. The high point of the year at Gunnebo is the festival at the beginning of July when the whole area is descended on by people dressed in 18th century costume along with talks, entertainment and make-believe battles.

Each year the summer is rounded off with a concert beside the lake, Rådasjön.
As autumn approaches there is the culture night at Kvarnbyn when the old industrial buildings beside the rapids are opened up to the general public. The narrow alleyways are filled with life and with a whole range of artists, musical entertainment, facade projections and other activities.

As Christmas approaches you can enjoy a classic Christmas dinner at one of the many cosy restaurants. The Christmas Market at Gunnebo House and at Kvarnbyn also attract a large number of visitors.

As if this were not enough the racetrack at Åby holds meetings all year round attracting thousands of visitors. The largest meetings are Åby Stora pris, Olympiatravet, Gustaf V:s Pokal and Drottning Silvias Pokal.
