23 May The opening of the Linnaeus Exhibition, which describes Linnaeus’ life and his contribution to science, at the Natural History Museum in Gothenburg
24-25 May Flower Concerts, with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, held at the Gothenburg Concert Hall
30 June – 1 July Linnaeus Days in Västra Tunhem - a festival of theatre, music, herb garden tours and food tents at Västra Tunhem, the vicarage in Vänersborg where Linnaeus stayed

22 Sep – 4 Nov Visitors can learn about Linnaeus’ contribution to knowledge at the Art Hall at Vänersborg, through the Chaos von Linnaeus exhibition. Linnaeus helped order the scientific world and visitors can reflect on the balance between order and chaos in today’s world.

For summer 2008 the international garden exhibition Göteborgs Lustgårdar will be held in the city at Trädgårdsföreningen (The Horticultural Society Garden), Gothenburg Botanical Garden, Gunnebo House and Gardens and Liseberg amusement park. International landscape architects and garden designers, including Julie Toll and Catherine Heatherington from the UK, will be involved.
