This summer the Nordic Watercolour Museum (www.akvarellmuseet.org) will be presenting a unique exhibition of watercolours by such artists as David Hockney, Sam Francis and Raymond Pettibon, all of whom during the past century have created inspiring and influential works permeated by the special light of California. From the melting pot of cultures and experimental artistic expression of the American west coast a fantastic art scene emerged. Titled Pacific Light, California Watercolour Refracted 1907-2007, the exhibition runs from 18 May to 7 September at the Skarhamn-based museum.
