By boat along the Inner Fairway

Just about every boating tourist from the south of Bohuslän seems to aim for the north of Bohuslän. But if you’ve got time we’d like to tell you about a ’forgotten’ route – The Inner Fairway, on the inside of the islands Tjörn and Orust.

From the moment you turn starboard at Åstol in the Hake Fjord until you reach the Gullmar Fjord opposite Lysekil we guarantee a varied and memorable trip. The fairways are not overcrowded, neither are the guest harbours. The number of natural harbours has also increased thanks to a new survey carried out by the Svenska Kryssarklubben, a Swedish sailboat association.

The guest harbours are often close to the town centres, for example in Stenungsund, Uddevalla and Henån. Within walking distance is a range of shopping, restaurants and amusements that you won’t find along the ’motorway’ that is the outer fairway.

The number of boat fuel stations has also doubled. Stations are now available in Stenungsund, Uddevalla and Henån.
