Live streaming from West Sweden
Each week we’ll be bringing exciting experiences from West Sweden direct to your living room. Well known faces and tourism businesses will live stream from different parts of the region via Instagram and share their favourite places with you. Each broadcast will have its own theme – from yoga on Bohuslän’s smooth rocks or an oyster opening lesson on the jetty, to a walk along the beautiful Gotaleden Trail and al fresco cookery by the Göta Canal. Put the dates in your calendar and get some inspiration for future trips when restrictions are eased.
"Treasure from the sea"
Oyster opening lesson from the jetty
On Wednesday 20 May Hanna from Everts Sjöbod invites you to her Oyster Academy, where you’ll learn all about oysters. Everts Sjöbod is in Grönemad, 2 kilometres from Grebbestad in Bohuslän. Sjöbod is the Swedish word for boathouse, and as well as the old boathouse there’s a convenient Bed & Breakfast right next door to it.
Yoga on the rocks
On Wednesday 27 May at 15.00 you can do a yoga class with Ingela from Skärgårdsidyllen Kayak & Outdoor from the loveliest spot with the best view, in other words the island of Käften.
Skärgårdsidyllen is a kayak and outdoor company with a kayak centre based in the old boathouse in Grönemad, 2 km from Grebbestad in Bohuslän.
"From Gothenburg to Alingsås"
Explore the Gotaleden
On Wednesday 3 June at 15.00 you can join Hans and Nicke on a hike along the Gotaleden. They’ll be looking for signs of spring and will also share sightseeing tips along the way. The Gotaleden is a 71 kilometre hiking trail between Gothenburg and Alingsås in West Sweden. Lovely natural surroundings, pit stops near the city, and proximity to train stations characterise the trail
"The Edible Country"
Al fresco dining
On Wednesday 10 June at 15.00 we’ll be cooking outdoors by the Göta Canal with Malin and her head chef from Norrqvarn Hotel.
They’ll be testing the "The Edible Country" concept, which is all about making food together, discovering new and exciting ingredients and getting up close to nature in West Sweden.
