Kata gård, Varnhem

During excavations on the hill behind the monastery ruins in Varnhem the archeologists have made sensational findings that tell us stories about from the time before the monks arrived here in the 12th century. In May 2017 an interesting exhibition opened here, and in it you can see how modern architecture meets 1000 year old walls. The place is named Kata Farm  after the woman that lived on the farm located here during the end of the Viking era.
