Kosterhavet National Park

The national park lies off the coast in northern Bohuslän and is a valuable recreational resource - it is one of Sweden´s most visited tourist destinations.

Visitor centre

You can reach the main entrance to the national park, on South Koster, by one of the Västtrafik ferries from Strömstad. The trip takes about 45 minutes. Free entrance.

Koster Islands

If you are in the town of Strömstad you should take the boat out to the Koster islands. On South Koster island there is a small network of bicycle-friendly paths that are mostly car-free and run alongside walking paths.
