Nyebrotäppan
Lerum

Located within the park next to the lake Aspen

This fragrant garden with its beautiful blooms and foliage was designed and created by Karin Berglund and her Växtrum team. The layout and plants were inspired by the monastic gardens of the Middle Ages, known as Mary Gardens. Nyebrotäppen garden is located within the park next to the lake, and is lined with deciduous trees that grow alongside the River Säveån.

The cork-barked elm is one of several exciting species here. The river is inhabited by beavers, Sweden’s largest rodent, and you might see them if you visit the garden on a summer evening.
Nyebroparken quickly became popular with local residents of all ages after it was opened in 2008. Now the creation of this gem of a garden has made the park even more attractive. The park is home to another Växtrum garden too, Giardino Segreto, the secret garden with scents from the Mediterranean.
