This package is for those who love nature – but equally love a comfy bed and good food. We combine comfortable, beautiful accomodation with nice dinners into a three-day wilderness adventure on Dalsland’s stunning Pilgrim trail.
Combining wilderness with comfort
Welcome to walk on Dalsland’s Pilgrim trail. You start and finish your hike in comfortable accomodations with good, homecooked meals. In between you find your own way through 40 km of wilderness. Come out to the forest with the glittering lakes. Put your boots on and tackle the shifting landscape and terrain. Stop at a campsite for the night and cook up your own dinner. It never tastes as good as in the forest.
Arrival and check-in at Upperud 9:9 in the afternoon. Dinner is served in the old grain silo and you spend the night in one of the unique 2-bed rooms.
After a hotel breakfast you start your hike along the Pilgrim trail. Spend the night at one of the campsites along the way. Take your own tent or use one of the shelters. Cook your own food. Total distance between hotels: 40 km.
Breakfast at the guesthouse. Transport back to Upperud 9:9.

Upperud 9:9 is now a hotel, but it was build around 100 years ago as a storage building for grains. The 5 rooms are built inside the old silos. French balconies open up to the air and the water outside. High ceilings allow for beds on lofts up a ladder or a staircase. All rooms have 4 beds, lofts, kitchen and bathroom with showers. Wifi.
Edsleskogs Wärdshus (The Guesthouse of Edsleskog) is by lake Edslan in the north of the Pilgrim trail. It offers comfortable accomodation focussing on the outdoors and walking. You stay in nice double rooms with bathroom, shower and balconies overlooking the lake.
