About Mercedes and her art
Artist Janice Mercedes Murat was born in Sweden in 1981. With studies in traditional crafts such as gilding, decorative painting and upholstering Mercedes is a full time artist that creates stunning interior art by ancient techniques mixed with her own set of rules. With passion for interior design and art she conflates this into an exquisite harmony with exciting materials as 24k gold leaf, beautiful colors and amazing fabrics. The end result is innovative furniture art that is as timeless as decorative, and verre églomisé paintings that speaks to you from the other side of the room.
