Stay in a personal, unique bed and breakfast 30 metres from the sea in a picturesque fishing village. The building was originally a small factory where wooden boats and fish boxes were produced for local fishermen. It has now been converted into a completely unique bed and breakfast, where the owners’ interest in design and creativity makes it very special in all seasons of the year.
Beautiful surroundings, good food and personal rooms
Relax in the lovely indoor settings in Lådfabriken, enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking the sea or take a stroll to the nearby rocks on the coast. The rooms are on the second floor. Each has a private bathroom and they are all uniquely furnished. There is a fourth room in the garden house.
Eat a colourful breakfast of fruit and berries from the garden after a salty morning dip in the sea. There are wonderful sunsets in the evenings to be enjoyed with locally cultivated fish and seafood. In the autumn you can go out lobster fishing and later eat a four-course lobster dinner with a choice of well-selected wines. There are lovely seafood buffets served as Christmas approaches.
The restaurant is part of the network A taste of West Sweden. The network gathers restaurants and cafes that, in close collaboration with local producers, offer West Swedish culinary experiences based on seasonal and local ingredients.
Active holiday
You can borrow a bicycle or a kayak at Lådfabriken. Take the opportunity and go on a three-day cycle tour across Orust, with full board. Go off on a kayak adventure in one of the most beautiful areas on this coast. If you prefer the pleasures of relaxation, do some yoga in the lovely surroundings at Lådfabriken, either indoors or outdoors.
