The rooms at Salt & Sill are modern and in the clean Scandinavian style. There are several bathing steps, ideal for a refreshing morning dip. There is a large sun deck on the roof of the hotel where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful view of the outer islands of Tjörn.

Savour Salt & Sill’s dishes close to the sea. Enjoy the fish, seafood and specialities called “Sillplankan” and ”Klädesholmaren”. The restaurant has been given the awards “Worth a trip” and “White’s heart” by the White Guide and the restaurant is part of the network A taste of West Sweden. The network gathers restaurants and cafes that, in close collaboration with local producers, offer West Swedish culinary experiences based on seasonal and local ingredients.

Marine activities

Unwind in the bath and sauna boat and take in the wonderful view over the sea. There are lobster and seafood gathering trips if you’re interested in actually going out to sea. Herring and schnapps tasting is also arranged by Salt & Sill, as well as cooking sessions lead by a chef in the food studio - and much more.
