Svartedalen and Bohus trail
Stenungsund and Kungälv

One of West Sweden's largest contiguous coniferous forest areas

Svartedalen's nature and recreation area is one of West Sweden's largest contiguous coniferous forest areas. The bedrock landscape is rich in lakes and is dominated by coniferous forest. The area is associated with a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, swimming, mushroom and berry picking, orientation etc. The popular Bohusleden (Bohus Trail) runs through Svartedalen.

Four hiking trails of different lengths (2.5 km, 4 km, 5 km and 7 km) depart from the bottom of the cabin at the eastern part of Ålevattnet. The trails offer many lovely picnic areas with fireplaces so bring some sausages! Svartedalen has many lakes that invite you to swim, canoe and fish. Please try your fishing luck, but remember – get your fishing licence first!
