The route starts from the ferry berth on Hamburgö and runs around Hagberget. The route is slightly hilly and follows paths and old roads that in some places will give you a nice view over the strait. With the QR-code you have the possibility to listen to stories about the history of the area during your walk. The route is approximately 2,5 km on Hamburgö which you can reach with the free ferry from Hamburgsund. The ferry departs every 20 minutes from the island, starting at every full hour. The route starts from the ferry berth where you also can find Hamburgö Café and Bistro and get something to eat and drink before your hike. By the ferry berth, you can find a toilet in the guest harbour service facility. By the starting place there is a sign with information about the route. Here, you will also find the QR-code, which lets you listen to the history about Hamburgsund and its surrounding areas. You can listen to this on your hike as you pass many historical monuments. Follow the blue markings along the route. Bergaleden is a circular route, which contains Kuststigen.
