Elk safari

Join us for a guided Elk safari in Ecopark Halle- and Hunneberg!

At the southern point of Lake Vänern you’ll find the Table mountains Halle- and Hunneberg, The nature of the Ecopark is magnificent and mythical and has facinated visitors from all over the world for many years. Nowadays Halle- and Hunneberg is a very popular area for recreation and outdoor actitivities. It is also known as the Elk Mountains since many elks live there in their natural habitat.

The Royal Hunt Museum Elk Hill offer a safari tour that includes a trip to the mountain and back and a visit at the museum. You will enjoy a sandwich, elk meat and lingonberry juice in front of the open fire before the safari tour with bus starts.

At the Royal Hunt Museum you will be able to learn about the Elk, the wildlife and fauna of the mountains and also about the annual Royal Hunt.


Mondays and Thursdays:
June 24 - July 11: The bus leaves from Trollhättan at 7.00 p.m. and Vänersborg 7.15 p.m.
July 15 - August 1: The bus leaves from Trollhättan at 6.30 p.m. and Vänersborg 6.45 p.m.
August 5 – August 29: The bus leaves from Trollhättan at 5.30 p.m. and Vänersborg 5.45 p.m.

The Bus starts in Trollhättan Bus Station (Bangårdsgatan) and then stop by Vänersborg Tourist Center (Kungsgatan 9) on it's way to Hunneberg mountain.

Adult SEK 395
Children (3-12 years): SEK 250

This is included in the price:
- Bus tour with guide.
- Entrance to The Royal Hunt Museum
- Sandwich, elk meat and lingonberry juice
- The children will have a small activity book and pencils.
- Binocular available in the bus.
