The Nils Ericson Walk

Relaxing walk among the city's beautiful locks!

This guide takes you on a walk among the locks, which is one of the city's most visited areas.

In this unique environment you will meet three generations of locks, created to enable the ship to get past Trollhättefallen. The path takes you around the lock area in 25 minutes. During the walk you will past significant sights such as the Kanalmuseet and locks from 1800, 1844 and 1916. For more information and map, click here!

Be sure to bring your picnic basket and stay in Gamle Dal'n to enjoy the amazing natural environment. Just a hundred years ago, the place was full of life when the ships slowly took their way through the beautiful surroundings.
