Welcome to beautiful Sjuhärad, the perfect place for a walking holiday! The terrain is varied and changeable, with everything from open agricultural land to extensive forests, and is pleasantly undulating, with an abundance of lakes. The trails go through country that often has an interesting historic tale to tell. All the paths in this brochure are of a very good standard. You’ll be able to follow with confidence the well-marked trails, pause at designated rest areas, easily find relevant information, and sights worth seeing. There are trails suitable for all, ranging from easy short walks to more challenging longer ones.
Open landscapes, endless forests and beautiful lakes. The Ätradal Trail stretches between Falköping and Falkenberg and covers a total of 197 km, of which 146 km are completely car free disused railway embankments. The rest is on pretty country roads which wind through lovely, varied scenery.
The Sjuhärad Trail is a round route of 150 km in total, of which 120 km is completely car free, through Borås, Ulricehamn, Tranemo and Svenljunga. Explore a section on a day trip, or spread it out over several days with cosy accommodation and added memorable experiences.
