Outside the theatre in Mariestad you can se this sculpture of the actress Birgitta Andersson who grew up in Mariestad. Birgitta Andersson is famous for numerous parts in Swedish film history.
To mark the 50-year anniversary of the fairytale figure the Teaspoon Lady (Teskedsgumman) in Swedish television, the municipality ordered a bust depicting the actress Birgitta Andersson, who grew up in Mariestad. The assignment went to Margit Krogh, who is a norwegian sculpture, educated at the Art Academy in Zagreb, Stockholm, and Oslo.
