Lions Kräftans dag (Crayfish Day), a strong tradition
The event called "Kräftans dag" is strongly associated with Tidaholm.
It's a family day where not only crayfishing is on the program but also entertainment from the main stage behind the Sports Hall. Coffee is also served there.
The fishing is free, and all children up to 15 years old can go crayfishing along the designated stretch in central Tidaholm. Two tools (trap + net) may be used. If you are older, you can accompany the children and maybe have a nice picnic in the green grass.
Crayfishing starts at 5 PM. The event always returns on the first Friday in August.
