Is there anything more summery than enjoying delicious homemade pastries in the shade of the trees at a cozy spot?

In Vårgårda, you'll find several local heritage associations, churches, and others that open their summer cafés, offering tasty homemade treats at great prices. Beautiful locations, charming buildings, and delightful encounters are included!

Prästgården Algutstorp

Located just south of Vårgårda town, Prästgården opens its summer café for two weeks, serving homemade pastries, ice cream, and plenty of playtime. 
The café is open durint tuesday-saturday between the 30th of June until the 11th of July. On weekdays the opening hours are between 14.00-18.00 and on Saturdays between 12.00-16.00 hours.

Ornunga gamla kyrka

At the museum in Ornunga, right next to the 1700s church, Saturday gatherings with interesting lectures are held during July. Delicious coffee and homemade pastries are served under the shade of the oaks. After the lectures, there's a  service in the old church. Every Saturday from June 27 to July 18 at 4:00 PM. On July 25, there's a market day starting at 3:00 PM.

Lena Hed

Every Saturday in July, there's a waffle café at the local heritage site in Lena, also known as Lena Hed. Enjoy delightful waffles made from the village's traditional recipe in a beautiful setting. Some Saturdays feature entertainment as well.
Every Sunday from July 5 to July 26 at 3:00 PM.
