The river Nossan is rich of fishes and contains a total of 19 species. For instance, there are many white fishes such as, carp bream, bleak, perch and pike. Spin, coarse, jig and fly-fishing as well as lure attached to boat are allowed.
Preservation period for salmon and trout is between 15th of september - 31st of december and for asp 1st of march - 31st of may.
Great fishing places are Backa Bro, Astranna, Johannebergsbron, Hallerna och Tengene.
Crayfish fishing is NOT allowed by others than the land owner with right to fish along Nossan.
You can fish for free from the bridge in Nossebro to Tengene. It is also free to fish on municipal land beneath the bridges in Nossebro.

There is a fishing card that works for 26 kilometres of the river, from Tengene down to the orifice of the bay Dättern.
