The Locks Area in Trollhätte Canalpark

Discover the beautiful locks in Trollhättan where three generations of lock stairs form an interesting historical place. Regardless of whether you visit us from land or by boat, there is a lot to experience here.

In addition to the locks from 1800, 1844 and 1916, you can visit the park area Gamle Dal and the summer-open Slusscaféet and Canal museum.

With a boat on Trollhätte Canal

Are you visiting us by boat? Welcome! Here we have gathered information about how the Trollhättan locks work and about the Swedish Maritime Administration. We also hope that you want to stay a night or two here at our guest harbors. We have two guest harbors in Trollhättan, one is right by the lock area and one is on Spikön near the city center.

We wish you a pleasant trip through Trollhättan's locks and canal.

Slussrundan

Follow Trollhätte canal from the locks in the south all the way to Spikön at the city center and back. The Slussrundan walk is 7.5 kilometers long and is a great way to get to the locks area by foot from central Trollhättan.

Nils Ericson's Walk

Explore the Trollhättan Locks Area and Gamle Dal park with Nils Ericson's walk. A relaxing walk of 1.6 kilometers that passes all the lock stairs and takes you to several interesting places along the way.
