BORRÅSBERGETS FORNBORG
Stigen
The place that probably gave Ödeborg its name
The ancient castle was formerly used as a defense force when Sweden and Norway were often at war. It was a very important place for residents around the path, who fled there with their animals when they felt threatened. The ancient castle has clear walls with a total length of 180 m. Its width varies from 1-8 meters and the height between 0.3 and 1.5 meters. The location is magnificent on a hilltop with miles wide views.
Directions
Located approx. 1 km from the path. From Route 173 towards Högsäter, get off at Svenstakan. After approx. 600 m, at a meeting place on the left, indicates the sign of old road to the ancient castle.
