Welcome to Hova Prästgård Bed & Breakfast, where the echoes of history meet warm, homely comfort. Here you stay in a charming 16th-century wing that once housed royalty – perhaps you will sleep in the very same room as one of them? Your four-legged friend is also welcome in selected rooms at Hova Prästgård.

The four individually decorated rooms – three double rooms and one spacious family suite with four single beds – offer a cozy atmosphere with made-up beds, towels, and everything prepared for your stay. Wake up well rested to a delicious breakfast featuring locally produced ingredients, then let the day’s adventures begin, whether you are visiting Hova Prästgård in a professional or private capacity. Perhaps the day starts with a peaceful walk on the mountain Getryggen?

Sustainable charm and care

At Hova Prästgård, the owners value authenticity and sustainability – charming interiors go hand in hand with care for the environment. There are no disposable items; beautiful textiles are reused, and eggs come from the neighbors. The breakfast table often features homemade jam, organic products, and local produce when available. In spring, you are also welcome to browse the flea market in the old granary – all in the spirit of maximizing reuse!

From 2026, the business will expand with a mini office hotel on the upper floor of the North Wing – perfect for those seeking a calm and inspiring workspace in a historic environment. Guests are also offered space for humanist ceremonies such as civil funerals, weddings, and naming ceremonies for smaller groups – with personal care and a warm atmosphere.

Close to nature, culture, and adventure

With its central location next to the E20, Hova Prästgård B&B is the perfect base for work, rest, and a pleasant overnight stay. From here, you can reach Gothenburg in a couple of hours, Stockholm in just over three hours, Örebro or Skövde in about an hour, and Mariestad and the canal areas such as Sjötorp and Lyrestad with only a short drive.

The train conveniently takes you to Hova, and if needed, we are happy to arrange pick-up in Töreboda or Laxå – where the main railway line runs – about 20 minutes away.
