The Diving museum of Lysekil
Lysekil

First exhibition about Swedish sports diving in the 1950s and 1960s

In Lysekil, the site of Sweden's first sports dive school, the "Föreningen Lysekil Dykmuseum " opens its first diving history exhibition. The exhibition will highlight Swedish sports diving in the 1950s and 1960s and is exciting for divers and interested people alike.

This is the first step towards a dive museum and the association has been given the privilege of hiring a part of the Skandia museum in Lysekil. The exhibition will be in place during the summer and autumn 2018. The period may also be extended. With the exhibition, the association wants to raise interest in the dive museum to come in the future, with larger areas and more exhibitions.

The entrance to the premises is between two streets, so it is easiest to drive to Verkstadsgatan 4 and use the parking lot there. Then take a look at the building that is light orange and walk into the alley with the building on your right. Then you will soon arrive at a green door and there you enter the orange building. The exhibition itself is then upstairs and an elevator is available.
